This Is My Community

In 2003, my wife, Mariya, and I chose Plano and Collin County as our new home to start a family, just as have people from all around the world, making Collin County one of the fastest-growing counties in the country. What we have here is worth fighting to preserve. It’s for that reason I’m involved in government and served on Plano City Council. In my career as a consultant, I’ve helped Fortune 1000 companies solve some of their toughest challenges. I am a Christian conservative and am passionate about promoting liberty and self-governance.

My Record

Promises Made, Promises Kept

I officially fulfilled all of my campaign promises a little more than one year into my first term on council, and that was just a warm-up. I ran on several key things, but it’s important to note that these accomplishments were a team effort. I was just one vote in eight, and I couldn’t have done it alone. My deepest thanks to the council members and staff who helped make it all happen. See the current issues I’m championing that are important to YOU here.

In My Own Words

I truly love serving.

“From the moment I was first elected to serve on Plano City Council six years ago, I accepted that I’m a straight-up policy nerd. I’m also a fiscal nerd. And if anyone is keeping score, I’m also a Star Wars nerd.

A lot of this stuff may be dry and boring, but I take it all seriously, and it doesn’t bore me. Quite the opposite–I get really into it. I absolutely love serving on city council, but I’m term-limited… Serving on the Commissioners Court will allow me to serve more people in much the same way that I have for the past six years, but in a different function of government.”
