Executive Session (starts at 5:00 PM)
(Review agenda here)
- Economic Development Discussion: we don’t know what it’s about until Executive Session, but the word on the street is that NASDAQ is looking for a new home for its trading systems, and North Texas is a candidate. (Get it? Word “on the street,” like Wall Street? Hello? Is this thing on?) Could it be Plano? I’d say tune in to find out, but Exec Session isn’t open to the public, so you won’t know. But tune in anyway for the rest of the meeting!

Items for Individual Consideration
-
Item (1): an Interlocal Agreement between Plano, McKinney, Frisco, and the Collin County Sheriff’s Office for disbursement of the 2020 Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant
-
Item (2): an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Plano, the Regional Transportation Council (RTC), and North Central Texas Council of Governments (COG) for a $15 million grant and a $15 million loan to fund parking and transit for the Collin Creek redevelopment
Notable Consent Agenda Items
Total of $1,918,182 of your money in proposed expenses
-
Item (e): $369,967 for two fleet Grapple Trucks for Special Waste. This item was approved last meeting, but the bidder was unable to deliver, so we are rescinding the approval of that contract in another consent agenda item, and approving this with another provider in an existing contract for a net increase of $9,058
-
Item (j): a DECREASE of $188,574 in the contracted amount for the construction of the new Police Substation since it was completed under budget. How about that?
-
Item (p): a 5% increase to the sewer/wastewater rate
-
Item (q): a $1 per month residential solid waste disposal increase for both 68-gallon and 95-gallon containers due to the loss of recycling revenue and increased contract cost from North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD)
