Comments of Public Interest: at every meeting, anyone can speak about anything for up to three minutes, with 30 total minutes allotted for this segment.

Items for Individual Consideration

  • Item (1): Short-Term Rental Registration Ordinance. Important Note: this permits registration only to Short-Term Rentals (STRs) in operation or with a proveable investment interest prior to the May 20, 2023 interim ban taking effect. This does not allow new STRs to register. This registration ordinance is a slimmed-down version of the one that was tabled at the May 8th council meeting.
  • Item (2): the appeal of the Planning & Zoning Commission’s denial of the proposed rezoning and redevelopment of the old Fry’s on the northeast side of I-75 (The Sam Johnson Freeway) and 190 (The George Bush Turnpike).
  • Item (3): $5,623,542 for a 7-year contract for new software to replace the city’s TRAKiT system to streamline city operations and maintenance, and allow us to provide greater customer service.
  • Item (4): $884,080 for implementation of the software in Item 3 above.
