Due to technical issues while recording, this video us cut off at the end. I’ll finish by writing about it below.
Preliminary Open Meeting
- Comprehensive Monthly Financial Report for December 2021
- Departmental Report – Technology Services
- Departmental Report – Animal Services
- Departmental Report – Planning
- American Rescue Plan funds (~$8 million will be used toward Public Safety salaries)
Regular Meeting
All items were approved 6-0 (2 council members are at the National League of Cities Conference)
- Specific Use Permit (SUP) for an Arcade for Belong, a chain of modern PC and Console Gaming establishments (not an arcade from the ’80’s). Interestingly, due to our zoning, we still require an SUP for anything that meets the definition of an Arcade, which is no longer common. This is one of the things to update when we bring our zoning current to the new Comprehensive Plan
- Rescind an SUP for Arcade, and grant an SUP for Continuing Care Facility
- Shiloh Road Expansion – nearly $14 million to expand Shiloh Road with two additional lanes and bike lanes between 14th and Park
- $170,000 for Materials Testing for the aforementioned Shiloh Road Expansion
