I’m blown away by the outpouring of support at my re-election kickoff yesterday by people across our community, and across political party lines! To have earned the trust and support of so many people is truly an honor!

You can sign up online to speak at council meetings in person or via Zoom online at this link up to 15 minutes before the scheduled meeting, which is typically at the 7:00 Regular Meeting. You may alternatively share your thoughts by emailing the council members any time at our email addresses here, or by 4:00 PM the day of the meeting at councilcomments@plano.gov. The council meeting will be livestreamed on PlanoTV.org and on the City of Plano Facebook page.

  • Item (2): To improve alignment of the Residential Community Design and Neighborhood Business Design districts with the comprehensive plan

 

Notable Consent Agenda Items

  • Item (c): $2,399,220 over 6 years for Parks Janitorial Services
  • Item (e): $699,293 for Improvements to the walkway on the south side of the City of Plano Municipal Center, A crosswalk crossing 14th Street at J Place, and Walkway improvements at DART’s Parker Road Station
  • Item (f): $4,729,260 for Water Rehabilitation – Cross Creek East 3B, entailing the removal and replacement of 11,776 linear feet of 8” water line, 1,130 linear feet of 6” water line, approximately 7,300 square yards of reinforced concrete pavement, and additional sidewalk, park trail adjacent to the neighborhood, driveways, and barrier-free ramps
  • Item (i): $349,860 for Phase 1 Salesforce implementation (finally!)
  • Item (j): $822,384 for 84 Cisco network switches and accessories (to super-duperize our network)
  • Item (m): $318,450 for landscape architect professional services for Bob Woodruff Park North Trail Replacement
  • Item (o): to provide the City Manager authority related to procurement decisions necessary for issues that arise due to supply chain issues. This was tabled at the last meeting to provide an expiration date in one year
  • Item (p): to authorize the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement with DART to accept $28,437,000 in reimbursements for Public Transportation or Complementary Transportation Service projects. This rebate is due to excess funds collected from the City of Plano during the pandemic
