[Cue Aerosmith – Back in the Saddle Again] This is my first preview, and tomorrow’s will be my first video recap in a couple of meetings for a variety of reasons, but we’re Back in the Saddle Again.

You can sign up online to speak at council meetings in person or via Zoom online at this link up to 15 minutes before the scheduled meeting, which is typically at the 7:00 Regular Meeting. You may alternatively share your thoughts by emailing the council members any time at our email addresses here, or by 4:00 PM the day of the meeting at councilcomments@plano.gov.   • Item (2): Rezoning and redevelopment of the EDS campus as a Life Sciences campus including office, light manufacturing, apartments, and a research hospital on an adjacent property
  • Item (3): An ordinance regulating drones and drone delivery (ironically, there’s no provision making it unlawful for the drones to turn on the humans. Have we learned nothing from The Terminator or The Matrix??)
  • Item (4): An ordinance to allow pet funeral homes
  • Item (5): An ordinance allowing temporary emergency shelters

The next four all have to do with the proposed Haggard Farm Public Improvement District

  • Item (6): Service and Assessment Plan and Improvement Area #1 Assessment Roll for the Haggard Farm Public Improvement District
  • Item (7): approve and authorize the issuance and sale of the City of Plano, Texas, Special Assessment Revenue Bonds, Series 2023 (Haggard Farm Public Improvement District Improvement Area #1 Project)
  • Item (8): accept and approve a Service and Assessment Plan and Major Improvement Area Assessment Roll for the Haggard Farm Public Improvement District
